Shape the future of mobility with the rail industry!
Rail, with its unique potential, is at the heart of this transformation. We invite you to imagine innovative solutions in three key categories.
All ideas are welcome to make rail a central pillar of our future!
The topics
The sponsors challenge you with their topics! Discover their topics below.
For each of them, a contextualization will soon be available (for registered participants).
Topic 1 - Air quality on board trains and in stations: how to measure it, and how to improve it?
Air pollution is a public health issue and has become a major concern for passengers as well as all stakeholders in the railway industry.
In the current context of addressing this challenge, what solutions would you propose?
A topic proposed by : Alstom, SNCF Mass Transit Academy, Wabtec
Topic 2 - How to smooth passenger loads during peak hours in urban areas? Distribution on platforms, on board, and adaptation of passenger mobility habits.
Optimize the distribution of passengers inside trains and facilitate the management of passenger flows in stations, notably through the use of artificial intelligence.
Encourage passengers to adapt their mobility habits to improve overall capacity and comfort.
A topic proposed by : Alstom, SNCF Mass Transit Academy, UIC, Wabtec
Topic 3 -Improving accessibility and support for vulnerable people in the broadest sense.
Adapt organizational structures and equipment to the needs of vulnerable people, and consider them from the very beginning in the design of new solutions.
A topic proposed by : Alstom, SNCF Mass Transit Academy, UIC
Topic 4 - Green travel: international standards and services for sustainable mobility.
Design solutions that make rail and multimodal travel seamless, low-carbon, and interoperable through open standards and innovative digital services, including artificial intelligence.
Solutions may involve passenger apps, cooperation between operators, sustainable stations adapted to climate change, or smart trains for better energy performance.
These solutions should enhance the passenger experience and raise awareness among both travelers and authorities of rail as a sustainable option.

Topic 5 - Smart and green freight corridors: digital services for customs and sustainable logistics.
Design solutions to make international freight corridors faster, cleaner, and more reliable.
This may involve standardized digital platforms for customs documents, cross-border traceability, zero-carbon multimodal hubs, or next-generation freight trains.
Projects can also include training and support services for logistics professionals to strengthen the role of rail in sustainable supply chains.
A topic proposed by : Alstom, UIC
Topic 6 - Climate-resilient railways
Design solutions to strengthen the overall resilience of the railway system in the face of climate change and crises.
This may include sustainable infrastructure, innovative materials, international forecasting and adaptation services, as well as more adaptable trains (predictive maintenance, optimized energy performance, including with the help of artificial intelligence).
Projects may also incorporate passenger awareness and operator training to firmly establish rail as a resilient and sustainable pillar of tomorrow’s mobility.
